Role Overview: As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take a leading role in designing and analyzing structural components for a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects. Your expertise in concrete dam design, spillway and intake design, penstock and/or lined tunnel design, and seismic assessments will be critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and innovation of the firm’s projects.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and analysis of structural elements for a range of complex projects.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of concrete dam design, spillway and intake design, penstock and/or lined tunnel design, and seismic assessments.
- Perform stability assessments and seismic analyses, including Response Spectrum and Time History Analysis.
- Develop floor design spectra and implement seismic design principles.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
- Proven expertise in concrete dam design, spillway and intake design, penstock and/or lined tunnel design.
- Proficiency in seismic assessments, including stability, Response Spectrum Analysis, and Time History Analysis.
- Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, ANSYS).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
