Senior Environmental Engineer on behalf of a leading environmental consulting firm in Vancouver, BC. This firm specializes in delivering innovative environmental engineering solutions, offering a dynamic and growth-focused environment.
Role Overview: The Senior Environmental Engineer will lead the assessment, analysis, and remediation of contaminated sites, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and best practices. This role involves technical leadership, project management, client engagement, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead environmental site assessments (Phase 1 & 2 ESA) for commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.
- Conduct risk analysis, contamination evaluations, and remediation planning.
- Develop and implement site investigation programs, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale environmental projects.
- Oversee field investigations, perform construction oversight, and provide technical recommendations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
- P.Eng. designation in BC (or eligibility for registration).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on Phase 1 & 2 ESA.
- Strong knowledge of contamination assessments, remediation strategies, and risk analysis.
- Proficiency in environmental software such as GIS, AutoCAD, and hydrogeological modeling tools.
- Experience with regulatory permitting and compliance related to environmental site assessments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
