Senior Electrical Engineer – Commercial & Residential Projects
Location: Vancouver, BC

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy in Vancouver, BC. This firm specializes in delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions for commercial buildings and residential towers, offering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Role Overview:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design and development of electrical systems for large-scale commercial and residential projects. This role involves technical leadership, project management, client interaction, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design for high-rise residential towers and commercial buildings.
• Oversee power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.
• Perform load calculations, system analysis, and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and EITs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation in BC (or eligibility for registration).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design, with a focus on commercial and residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of BC Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
