Position Overview Skyline Recruitment is seeking a
Lead Tunnel Engineer for our client, a private infrastructure development company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tunnel design and construction, particularly on P3 or D8 projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex infrastructure projects in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities - Lead tunnel design and engineering, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and compliance.
- Oversee tunnel projects from design to construction, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to align on project goals.
- Ensure high standards of quality control and safety on-site.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to keep the project on track.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in tunnel engineering, with a focus on P3 or D8 projects.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation (or ability to obtain).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with large-scale transportation or utility tunnel projects.
- Familiarity with tunneling software and modeling tools.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
