A premier engineering consulting firm is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Dallas, TX. This position offers the chance to work on a wide range of projects in public works, transportation, commercial, energy, and industrial sectors.
Your Role will Involve: - Prepare and review drawings for a variety of geotechnical-related project components.
- Performs field reconnaissance and geological research to evaluate site-specific geologic and hydrogeologic conditions and risks. Develops work scopes and subcontracts for subsurface investigations in support of geotechnical design and evaluation efforts.
- Performs geotechnical-related construction observation during the construction phase of projects.
- Applies strong knowledge of commonly used geotechnical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the geotechnical engineering services industry.
- Performs research and compiles project related data as required by the project team. Research and compile project related data as required by the project team.
- Performs field observation of site investigation activities.
- Perform geotechnical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
- Perform geotechnical engineering analyses, design and evaluation related to shallow and deep foundation systems, settlement analyses, slope stability evaluations, retaining structures, consideration of seismic effects, and earthwork.
- Prepare and review of engineering design calculations, reports, specifications and construction documents, and other technical documents as needed.
- Compiles information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
What we are looking for: - Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program required.
- Minimum 3 years of geotechnical engineering experience required.
- Registered Texas Professional Engineer (PE) License.
