Your Role within the Team:As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will work closely with a diverse group of professionals across various sectors, including transportation, rail & transit, energy, and industrial development. You will collaborate on multidisciplinary projects and contribute to the success of both complex and major programs. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the execution of geotechnical engineering aspects on large-scale projects.
- Supporting complex proposals and assisting in project development.
- Mentoring junior staff and acting as a technical reference.
- Helping expand the company’s geotechnical portfolio, particularly in the Transportation sector in Ontario.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering or geology with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in the transportation sector is highly valued, and strong communication, project management, and team collaboration skills are essential.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including at least one year in Ontario.
- A P.Eng designation in Ontario (preferred).
- Strong experience in highways, rail, municipal roads, and bridges.
- Experience with the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario (preferred).
- Proven ability to take on intermediate/senior roles within an engineering consultancy environment.
- Project management experience and familiarity with client relationships and engineering consultancy needs.
- Geotechnical design experience, including working with design standards and guidelines for ground investigations.
- Familiarity with geohazards and geotechnical investigations.
- Experience with geotechnical numerical software.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills.
- Willingness to travel for short assignments both within Ontario and nationwide.
Compensation Range:The expected compensation for this role is between
$100,000 - $150,000 annually. Salaries are based on experience, skills, location, and the candidate's potential impact on the team, with internal and external competitiveness taken into account.
