Environmental Project Manager specializing in
Occupational Hygiene or
Hazardous Materials (HazMat) to work with one of our clients in Brossard, Montreal. In this role, you will lead and manage key environmental projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality results. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage multiple projects related to occupational hygiene, hazardous materials assessments, and remediation.
- Conduct workplace assessments, air quality testing, and hazard identification for clients.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing hazardous materials such as asbestos, mold, lead, and other contaminants.
- Ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and recommendations for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations regarding health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field staff, ensuring that project goals are met efficiently.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and project updates.
- Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory changes in occupational hygiene and hazardous materials.
Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in environmental project management, specifically in occupational hygiene or hazardous materials.
- Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory standards (e.g., provincial/federal environmental regulations, workplace health and safety codes).
- Experience conducting assessments, including indoor air quality, mold, asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction and report preparation.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in a relevant field (e.g., CRSP, ROH, CIH) is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
