Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer Location: Burnaby
Job Description: We are representing an engineering consulting firm seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing electrical engineering projects across residential high-rise, institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors. This role will involve overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Project Management:
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects, including planning, design, procurement, and construction phases.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Design and Engineering:
- Prepare electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations for residential high-rise, institutional, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations based on project requirements.
- Client and Stakeholder Interaction:
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project objectives are met.
- Address client inquiries and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance:
- Perform quality checks on electrical designs and installations to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams to achieve project goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Candidate Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering project management, with a focus on residential high-rise, institutional, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
